Controversial city lawyer Donald Kipkorir deconstructs Murkomen following clash over BBI

Renowned City lawyer Donald Kipkorir on Wednesday 21 October 2020 boldly claimed that he was the one who financed Elgeyo-Marakwet County Senator Kipchumba Murkomen’s 2013 political campaigns.

He went on to claim that neither President Uhuru Kenyatta nor his Deputy William Ruto knew Kipchumba Murkomen by 2013.

“Before 2012, he was in a government Task Force courtesy of Raila Odinga. In 2013, he had no car, and Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto had never heard of or met him.

“I financed his 2013 campaigns. He only opened a law firm in 2013. From stolen money, he has bought properties in Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, and Nairobi which I have asked Asset Recovery Authority C.E.O Muthoni Kimani to repossess,” he said.

He went on to claim that despite buying properties in Uasin Gishu and Nairobi County, his parents still live in a mud house while he is busy dishing out wheelbarrows.

He added that Kipchumba Murkomen should not insult him as he helped him get on his feet politically as he had nothing.

“His parents are still squatters in Embubot Forest and living in a mud house while my Senator is busy distributing wheelbarrows and boda boda. Murkomen claims to be a Christian but he has nothing but a thief and loves insults. I doubt the Bible countenance such behavior. Without per diem paid to him for insulting, Murkomen would be nothing but a Forest Squatter,” he added.

The two started it off after Kipkorir questioned why Kipchumba Murkomen was debating about the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report which he termed as “underwhelming.”

Kipkorir wondered why the County Senator was against the report yet he was at one time busy undermining it in a series of rallies before its launch.

Kipchumba Murkomen dismissed the lawyer stating that the debate was too serious for slay kings.

He went on to state that the lawyer noting he would only be remembered as a slay king who spent his life organizing parties locally and abroad.
