Corrupt NHIF Management Now Shifting Blames

The National Hospital Insurance Fund – NHIF led by its defacto chief executive Ms Hannah Muriithi is trying to save face by pointing fingers at private entities accusing them of failing the national health insurer.

In a war of tweets last week, the NHIF whose acting CEO Nicodemus Odongo is a puppet to the Board chair Hannah Muriithi, engaged in painting a private citizen and businessman Jayesh Saini as a crook.

Nothing has changed at NHIF. The looting that was massive under succesive management continues more unabated under Nicodemus Odongo and Hannah Muriithi.

Ms Muriithi is alleged to have siphoned over half a billion Shillings from NHIF to pay MMC Africa law firm. She is said to have received Ksh35 Million bribe from the deal.

Tender wars and corruption are rife at the govt body.

Jayesh Saini is a businessman who has employed many Kenyan youths and going by the way he is being abused and blamed all over social media, it seems the looting trains is about to run off tracks and is looking for someone to blame.

Hannah and Nicodemus who passed an anti-poor people resolutions a few months ago which was overturned by the president are looking for scapegoats and businessman Jayesh has become their easy and soft target.

For an entity that paid Ksh100 million for a 23 acre of land without proper due diligence and then purported to develop it for Ksh1.4 billion yet no work was done, it is very shameful to paint hard-working businessmen as Scammers.

NHIF is guilty and the management is looking for a scapegoat.
