For the third time, Omar Lali has failed to show up in court following the inquest of Tecra Muigai who is the daughter of the owner of Kerecho breweries.
Tecra Muigai died in Kilifi county after it was claimed that he fell down the staircase when drunk. Omar Lali who was then Tecra’s boyfriend was accused of murder as he was believed to be the last person with Tecra before the fatal fall.
On 9th June, the Principle Magistrate ordered the arrest of Lali friends for contempt of court orders after skipping several summons.
Abdul Hakina, Ali Bakari and Kusai Lali, who are said to be the first people on the scene after Tecra fell off the stairs were expected to appear in Milimani court in the ongoing inquest into the death of Tecra Muigai but failed to show up.
The family of Tecra believes that the three have very important information on the death of Tecra.
“They have failed to heed summonses to appear before the inquest to testify’’ stated the Judge
Omar, who stands as the Prime suspect in the murder has been issued with yet another summon by Milimani Court Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul to testify in the murder case of his girlfriend Tecra on 16 or 17th July 2021.
When the case commenced a few months ago, judge Abdul had ruled that Omar Lali has to show up to court as his name had been adversely mentioned by the witnesses.
“It is important that he participates in the proceeding. The summons is for him to appear in court and will also be required at some point to testify in person” Ruled Abdul.
