In October 2017, Kandara MP Alice Wahome was recorded on video assaulting a returning officer Martin Malonza over election results.
The Member of Parliament never condemned the police brutality that had followed over the disputed August election, neither the one that followed after the equally sham October elections.
Yesterday Kenya police who had been instructed to ensure people followed the curfew orders were video taped clobbering Kenyans even before time.
The MP who is an ally of Deputy President William Ruto yesterday wrote on her social media accounts condemning Police Brutality:
“What instructions were given to Law enforcement agencies. This harassment and treating Kenyans with such indignity is what I raised on 29 th Dec 2019 during the burial of Dr Charles Rubia.Dr Fred Matiang’i must apologize to Kenyans and take responsibility” , she wrote.
However, based on her previous character as a supporter of violence against people who were perceived as opposinf the corrupt Kenyan state, the legislator was immediately shut down.
Below are some of the replies she attracted from all walks of life.
Mama, sit down. We have not forgotten your military fatigues and full support to police brutality in 2017. Do this, sanitize your tongue first, make a tweet-print of it then come back to comment in the manner you are itching to. Sit down, auntie Alice. https://t.co/HaDLRta9WP

Have you apologised for beating a returning officer in your constituency 3 years ago?.. or you are behaving like a monkey after seeing the ugly behind of a colleague. https://t.co/6jAhLvhDz9
