Spain has reported 757 new deaths from coronavirus infections in one day bringing the numbers of the lives claimed in the country to 14,555 with another 146,690 testing positive for the COVID-19 disease.
The latest reports have pushed the death toll up by 5%, a week earlier it was up at around 9% which means they have reached the peak and are now at at a slowdown phase.

The latest figures come amid speculations that the official figure are actually higher than the numbers being reported by the country’s health ministry.
The recently released data from Spain’s judicial authorities suggested that 6,600 more than the usual figures died in the two weeks but official resulsts released to the public indicates 3,500 covid-19 deaths in Madrid.
Spain’s health Minister Salvador Illa claimed that the country’s criteria is the top most stringent in Europe because everyone who tests positive of the virus is counted as having died of the coronavirus.
His explanation means that those who have in care homes and at their private homes are not captured in the ‘official data’.
The justice ministry has since responded by requesting judicial authorities to forward all records of burials and cremations that have taken place since stricter measures to curb the pandemic were imposed in march.
The confusion comes as Spain struggles to gauge the spread of the virus across the nation.Health ministry has reported that plans are in top gear to begin mass on more than 62,000 who will be chosen randomly.
Hart-hit regions like the capital Madrid and Catalonia have instructed people with mild symptoms to go into self-isolation. Health officials also estimate that nearly 90% of the cases have gone undetected.
The situation in Spain is still confusing while the World Health Organisation is warning the situation in the entire continent of Europe is still concerning, predicting that Britain may become the worst hit in Europe with country’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson remaining in the intensive care unit for the second straight day.
