Covid-19: Fake Doctor Exposed

Dr. Ahmed Khlebi is a Pathologist, Founder & Group MD/CEO Lancet Group of Labs; that means that during such pandemic as Covid-19 (novel coronavirus), he is in the limelight.

Lancet Labs was one of the first to have the covid-19 test kits; the testing per person was priced at sh13,000. This immediately makes him the most sought after by the Kenyan high and middle class who have time to check their health; it also made him a target for the not so cool guys, fraudsters.

Yesterday, Dr Kalebi went on social media to unmask one such fraudulent member and fake doctor Osborne Nelson Nyandiva.

Mr Osborne Nelson Nyandiva who faked the title doctor had paid a courtesy call at Dr Kalebi’s Lancet labs having been recommended by a friend.

Here is how the story goes as narrated by Dr Ahmed Kalebi

Today I met a Dr Osborne Nelson Nyandiva referred to me by a senior clinician colleague, who says he is a young Kenyan pathologist based in St Lucia West Indies having worked in Samoa and Australia.

Sadly after his visit to my office, I have since established that he is a fraud and his credentials in his CV are fake. There is even a story about him from Samoa.

Dr Osborne Nelson introduced himself to me today as MBChB, MMed Path, FRCPath, PhD, (which is fake) saying he has been ‘stuck’ in the country after being grounded by the travel disruptions due to COVID-19 pandemic while he was on leave back home.

Dr Osborne Nelson says he undertook his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of Southern Queensland [2009] and Western Sydney University [2013] in Australia respectively then completed his PhD in Anatomical Pathology at Stellenbosch University in South Africa [2018] as well as a pathology residency in Weill Cornell Medical College in New York.

Dr Osborne Nelson says he is currently an Associate Professor of Pathology and the Director of Pathology at the International American University School of Medicine in St Lucia territory in the Caribbean since early this year.

He says he has previously worked at National University of South Pacific in Wellington, and also at Tupua Tamasese Teaching and Referral Hospital both in New Zealand & Samoa, as well as the Perth Cancer Hospital in Perth Australia.

His CV shows that he is widely published and a member of several professional pathology associations with grants he has won over the years, he has been involved in various researches and supervised PhD and Master students from Africa.

I was looking forward to engaging Dr Osborne Nelson in research and academic collaborations in pathology, but now ??‍♂️⁉️

I’ve added two screenshots from his CV which show the blatant falsehood whereby he claims having published with my colleague Dr Charles Mwangi Wahome who doesn’t even know him, and also claims he supervised MMed dissertations of my two other colleagues Dr Joseph Sumba and Dr Marijani Msafiri yet those two pathologists qualified over a decade ago.
