Health Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has warned that not all face masks in the market are suitable for use in fighting Covid-19. He spoke on wednesday as he stated that only the approved masks should be used if it is necessary. He added that the stae now has the capacity to produce enough and suitable masks for all Kenyans.

“Not all face masks that are made are worth anything… we now have capacity to make approved masks in the country,” said Kwagwe.
Businessmen trading on serviette masks, African prints and sanitizers have a recorded a boom with CPVID-19 outbreak.
He revealed that Kikotec in Kitui is among the industries approved by the state to produce face masks as the Kenya continues to recieve donations from well wishers and philanthropists around the world.
Kagwe added that World Bank will approve Sh5 billion on Thursday to be used in stepping up the fight on the pandemic as he urged Kenyans prepare for stiffer measures the government will take to manage further spread.

He said that the purpose of the curfew is to limit social contact and keep businesses running at the same time.
The number of positive COVID -19 cases in Kenya on wednesday rose to 81 after the country recorded 22 new cases, the largest since the outbreak two weeks ago.
