Opposition Chief Raila Odinga is urging Kenyans to personalise the war against the coronavirus in order to defeat the disease has infected 122 people and claimed four lives in the country.
He warned that the window to fight the global pandemic is shutting as he called for a new breed of patriots to emerge and help in the war against coronavirus.

“We must take personal control now, there will be no control to take later. You remain in my thoughts and prayers,” Raila said. He also emphasized that this is not a war for the uniformed only but every Kenyan.
The ODM leader urged Kenyans to make daily follow ups on each other to find out if they are complying with government directives or finding challenges to adhere to the directives.
“Do not focus on strangers but people you have a personal relationship with,” he added.
He challenged the country’s youths who have been tortured by the police since curfew was introduced last Friday to be Kenya’s new soldiers and saviours.
“Use social media platforms to encourage your friends to stay safe as they keep them company from a social distance,” Raila said.
The AU special envoy also praised Kenyans for their strong faith and determination during these hard times. His statement came hours after the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto assured Kenyans that he is together with President Uhuru Kenyatta and other senior state officials as they work out means to deal with the pandemic.
