CPA Roble Said Nuno has been appointed to a senior position at the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA). The appointment followed a competitive recruitment process aimed at strengthening the management of devolved funds in Kenya.

Qualified professionals from the public finance and governance sectors took part in the selection exercise. CPA Roble was picked after a rigorous evaluation process.

In his new role, administrative operations at the CRA will be overseen by CPA Roble. He will also coordinate policies and support commissioners in carrying out their constitutional duties.

The appointment was announced by CRA Chairperson Mary Wanyonyi Chebukati. She said strong leadership is needed to promote transparency and fairness in revenue allocation.

She also noted that the recruitment process was transparent and merit-based. According to the Commission, the most qualified candidate was selected.

The appointment comes at a time when Kenya’s devolved system continues to expand. More technical expertise is needed to ensure fair distribution of national resources.

Stakeholders in the public finance sector have welcomed the move. Stable leadership at the CRA is seen as important for the smooth implementation of devolution funding frameworks.

Efforts to improve fiscal discipline and accountability are expected to increase under the new leadership.

CPA Roble Said Nuno is expected to officially take office in the coming weeks after transition arrangements are completed.
