In recent days, lawyer Danstan Omari has been the lead counsel in the defense of high-profile personalities.

He has managed to push himself to the top table in the Kenyan legal fraternity.

He has recently appeared cushioning the wrangles between the former CS Matiang’i and the government.

Even before the case had cooled down the lawyer was on to another case involving Pokot South MP, David Pkosing, who was apprehended by the DCI detectives in connection with banditry in the Noth Rift.

His readiness and availability and to represent clients left Kenyans on social media perplexed, wondering about the outstanding factor in him that sets him apart from other lawyers.

Omari Legal Career

Not many Kenyans know about Danstan Omari’s teaching career. He started as a deputy head teacher at a local primary school in Nyamira County.

He was passionate about education and loved working with children. He was dedicated to ensuring that the children in his school received the best education possible.

Despite his passion for teaching, Danstan Omari had a burning desire to pursue a career in law.

He began studying law in 2004 when aged 40 years.

He acquired his first undergraduate degree from the University of Nairobi in 2008, later enrolling at the Kenya School of Law before his admission to the bar.

“In 2004, the University of Nairobi advertised the program to do Law. I got the admission…in 2008, I graduated with a Bachelor of Law,” he said.

In January 2009, I enrolled in the Kenya School of Law which is further at Karen. The University of Nairobi advertised for master’s programs, and I applied,” he once said.
