Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have apprehended a 34-year old female suspected to be a terrorist.
The Anti Terror Police Unit detectives on Monday, August 3, pounced on Tracy Wairimu Ndegwa in Utawala for allegedly sent two threatening letters heavily laced with chemicals to a High Commission in Nairobi on July, 31.
“One letter was sprayed with an industrial chemical and the other with hay fever pesticides,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) tweeted.
The suspect is being held in custody pending arraignment at Kibera Law Courts.
This is not the first time the suspect has been arrested, earlier this year, she was arraigned and charged with another terrorism hoax that targeted the Commissioner-General of the Kenya Prisons Service and relased on bail pending another hearing in court.
