Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Ruiru have arrested a suspect of defilement, rape and murder that occured on October 16, 2020, at Membley area in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
The 36 year old Levy Abubakara was captured on a CCTV footage together with others, entering a house where they defiled a 12-year-old child and raped the house girl.
The suspects were captured tying the victims legs and hands with sisal ropes before stuffing up the house girl’s mouth with socks and strangling her to death.
They have been held in custody being processed for arraignment on Wednesday.
The key suspect’s arrest is coming barely 24 hours DCI arrested another pedophile who had shaved his dreadlocks to evade the police was arrested in Mathare, Nairobi.
The 23 year old Marcos Menza alias Vasco was cohabitating with a class eight pupil but later sent her upcountry when realized the minor had been reported as missing.
DCI boss George Kinoti said intelligence drawn from forensic analysis led detectives to a social media platform where Menza befriended and lured the minor to his house.
