Detectives nab Nakuru’s notorious robbery with violence suspect

DCI detectives based in Nakuru have managed to arrest a notorious robbery with violence suspect suspect who has been terrorising Nakuru town.

The 52 year old James Maina Njuguna was captured in a hide out i n Eastmore area where police said he been behind a series of robberies reported in the area.

“ID cards bearing different names, two driving licences, a Civilian Firearm Certificate bearing another person’s name, assorted electronic gadgets among other items were recovered from his hideout,” the DCI wrote in a twitter post.

The paraphernalia has been retained by the detectives to be used as exhibits when the suspect will be arraigned in court.

Elsewhere detectives also arrested one Brian Libasi who is suspected to have broken into a foreign High Commissioner’s residence on June,23, 2020.

He was hiding at Mwembeni area in Kibra where all household items reported to have been stolen during the incident were recovered.

Two carpets, a gas cooker, an LG fridge, shoes, bed sheets, curtains, a coffee table, a TV stan and a laptop were recovered from the suspect’s house and have been retained as exhibits.
