The late US Legendary Hip hop rapper DMX’s recently released album, Exodus has already reached number one on US iTunes.
The post humous album was released last week on Friday.
The album features collaborative works from renowned artist’s such as Jay – Z,Alicia Keys, Bono and Snoop Dogg.
Notably missing from the just released album is the late Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke, who was highly hyped to feature on the song ‘Money Money Money’.
DMX longtime friend and Executive Producer of Exodus, Swizz Beatz stated that Pop Smoke’s management team gave the artist’s verse to someone else.
“They used the verse already. I know X wouldn’t want an old verse” Stated Swizz during the album’s listening session for the media.
Having failed to get Pop Smoke’s verses, the super Producer reached out to rapper Moneybagg Yo who filled the void by laying his verse on the track ‘Money Money Money’.
“I just put Moneybagg on the song. Not that they the same energy, but they the same demographic. X wanted to touch that part too, I’m not mad at it. I like Moneybagg verse better anyway” Added the producer.
Swizz Beatz further hinted at the production of a part two of ‘Exodus’ as he still has more of DMX’s unproduced works.
“We have the material. This project definitely needs a part two,” he stated.
