DP Ruto admitted to threatening me – Alfred Mutua now says

Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has continued his onslaught against Deputy President William Ruto days after he claimed that the second in command threatened him at State House.

In an exclusive interview with a local publication, Mutua said that Ruto is always thinking about negative things. He argued that Ruto’s reference to the International Criminal Court of Justice at the Hague shows that he harbours ill-motives all the time.

“He actually admitted that the event took place at State House. So he is admitting that he threatened me. For him, that is a clear admission that what I talked about was true,” he said.

Speaking in Budalangi, Busia County on Sunday, Ruto laughed off at the claims of the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader. He said that the Machakos County has now started to engage in sideshows at the expense of development.

Mutua recorded a statement with the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) after he alleged that the DP had threatened him. He also accused Senate Minority leader Kipchumba Murkomen and National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale of intimidating him when they met at State House. He said that the two leaders have been a thorn in his flesh.

On Sunday, during an interview with K24 Mutua insisted that he will contest for the nation’s top seat in 2022.
