DP Ruto’s Ally Summoned Over Mungiki Allegations

Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi was earlier today summoned by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) over accusatory remarks he made at a press conference in Uasin Gishu County on Monday, June 8 pertaining to attacks by the Mungiki sect.

The MP had said he had prior information that members of the dreaded Mungiki sect were going to be sent to the Rift Valley to commit heinous crimes against humanity as part of dirty politics that would spark a Kikuyu-Kalenjin war.

“We know there are people who are planning to send the Mungiki here to Uasin Gishu, to do things they are not supposed to do.”

“We know who they are, and they know themselves. Once the chaos begins, they will come and say it is the Kikuyu and Kalenjin communities at conflict because of politics.” He had stated

“All of Kenya’s communities live in the Rift Valley. Away from politics, we said we will never allow people to travel upcountry with beds tied to buses because of their ethnicity and fear of violence, we want lasting peace. So we are warning them that we are alert and we will not allow it.”

Sudi who is a close ally of Deputy President William Ruto says these plans are set to dim the DPs claim to the high table come 2022. At the conference, he pointed fingers at President Uhuru Kenyatta accusing him of utmost disrespect for the pact the two hold.
