Kirinyaga County governor Anne Waiguru was earlier today met with the unexpected following an attack from a disgruntled subject over unfair treatment.
This is after a woman yet to be identified and believed to be a voter under her jurisdiction attacked the County chief over unfair distribution of resources.
In a video shared online and seen by Kenyan report the woman is seen approaching the governor’s car after confronting his security team.
She then demands an audience with the first time governor while Waiguru’s aids tried to restrain her.
The woman is seen daring the governor to beat her, making it clear that she is not impressed with what she termed unfair distribution of county resources.
The scene then got rowdier as onlooker trooped in to get a glimpse of what was taking place or rather causing the commotion.
Governor Waiguru then disembarked from her vehicle and thereafter granted the woman an audience as fellow Kirinyaga residents gathered around to also air their grievances.

“Let us help each other, so draft down the issue of funds allocated to wards in the county,” Waiguru stated as the woman pointed out her key grievances.
