Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has today Tuesday 15, 2021 made public the reporting dates of this year’s form ones joining Secondary schools this year.
Speaking during the form one selection exercise, Magoha revealed that August 2, 2021 is the date adding that a total of 585,942 girls compared to 585,323 boys would be joining the next level.
The CS noted that his esteemed Ministry had walked the talk in ensuring that the whole competitive process was credible and trustworthy.
“We have strictly applied the principles of equity, fairness, merit, transparency, inclusiveness and affirmative action in the form one selection and that is why the placement has taken longer,” Magoha stated.
Magoha further affirmed that a 100% transition of all the candidates who wrote the examinations last year would be ensured.

“In keeping with the 100 percent transition in public schools, 1,171,625 candidates have been placed in secondary schools. This is after excluding inmates, overage candidates, and candidates from refugee camps,” he affirmed.
