Egerton University closed indefinitely

Egerton University has become the third university to be shut down indefinitely over a wave of students unrest.

The University’s main and Nakuru campuses were shut down after students caused rampage while protesting a decision by the school’s management to close out some students from sitting their exams over failure to clear school fees.

The decision came only a few days after Maseno University was closed indefinitely after students protests protested rising insecurity near their halls of residence.

Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) closed indefinitely after students went on a much-publicised unrest while protesting against insecurity in Juja where the main campus is located.
