Eight car thieves arrested Nairobi’s Umoja estate

Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have arrested eight car theft suspects after runningstorming hides outs in Soweto and Umoja estates in Nairobi.

In its statement the media , the DCI stated thatthey recovered two vehicles believed to have been stolen in Lang’ata.

It further stated that the “Two Toyota Voxy M/Vs; KCS 757V & KCW 834A were stolen from Phenom Estate in Lang’ata recovered in the swoop by DCI following serious operations in Umoja & Soweto areas.

Eight suspects werer arrested & a Toyota ALPHARD that they were using has been detained by police.

“Mwenga Kariuki, Daniel Kabita, Paul Mwaura Karanja, Edward Musonye Ikatwa, Christine Mwongeli Munyao, Alex Kioko, Daniel Gisiri and Elphas Sula are members of car theft gangs with different roles in their ‘joint’ operations.

They are detained as investigations continue to braek their entire chain. They will be arraigned in court after investigations are concluded.
