Ex-IEBC Commissioner Akombe observes US elections

Former IEBC commissioner Dr Roselyn who fled to the USA after fraudulent Kenyan polls had a chance to oversee elections in the US and shared her experience through Tweeter.

Akombe escaped to the US ahead of the repeat presidential polls on October 26, 2017 with claims that the there was massive corruption at the IEBC.

In a tweet on Friday night, former commissioner at Kenya’s embattled electoral body posted a picture of her with a badge written ‘union county board of elections….board worker’.

Akombe further wrote that ‘It is always an honor and pleasure to serve’.

Dr. Akombe has remained the lone voice openly agitating for justice after the death of IEBC IT manager Chris Msando.

Musando was killed days to 2017 and a coalition outfit, NASA, led by ODM’s Raila Odinga claimed he was killed to pave way for rigging of the presidential votes.

Akombe in her report said she had been suspicious of the commission’s results transmission system and she lost confidence in the system after the brutal murder of Msando.
She clarified in her report that IEBC and Safaricom could not explain why results stopped displaying at the Bomas of Kenya at a round 8.30pm on August 8.

When the display resumed after three hours, the margin separating President Kenyatta and Nasa’s Raila Odinga became a constant throughout the transmission process.
