Extra County schools among top performing in KCSE – KBC

Extra County schools were among the top-performing schools that produced the best candidates in the just-released 2020 KCSE examination results trouncing giants like Lenana School, Pangani Girls, Kabarak high school, Maseno School, and Starehe Boys Centre who did not feature in the list of the top 15 best performing candidates.

Murang’a High School produced the best KCSE performer Robin Simiyu Wanjala, Agoro Sare high school in Homa Bay County produced the second-best candidate nationally Allan Udoma Wasonga while Machakos Girls High produced the fourth-best candidate in the country Musomba Edith Kithei.

In terms of mean score, Kenya High school from Nairobi County emerged as the top school with a mean score of 10.467.

Kapsabet boys came in second overall with a mean score of 10.11 followed by Kisima Mixed school from Nyandarua with 10.05.

Alliance High  posted a mean score of 10.019 and Mary Hill Girls from Kiambu got 9.92 to close the top five schools in the country.

In the bottom 100 schools, Thika High from Kiambu County has a mean score of 7.74 at number 100, followed Chavakali Boys from Vihiga County with 7.756, Kaplong Girls from Bomet with 7.79, St Patrick Iten from Elgeiyo Marakwet with 7.79 and Tenwek High from Bomet with 7.79 mean score.
