Facebook Suspends Africa’s Biggest Forum

Facebook has suspended Africa’s biggest forum from their platform.

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has always insisted on have a Kenya-based platform and this is just one of many reasons why we should free our online presence from Silicone Valley prisons.

Kenya’s biggest Facebook forum, “Group Kenya” has been suspended by Facebook.

Group Kenya had 2.1 Million members.
It was one of the biggest Facebook forums in Africa,

Members used to post wide range of issues from relationships, religion, political affairs to trending issues.

It is sad, and we need our own platform rather than being hosted on someone’s else platform then three months down the line suspension, locked.

We just need a platform owned by Kenyans who can share their views without anything to fear.

The admins have since created a new one, currently has over 55,000 members already.
