‘’The objective is to have at least 10,000 coaches who have already trained as coaches, maybe in the next eight years have 100 coaches at CAF A, 200 at CAF B  and 500 at CAF C’’ added Barry.

Former International James Situma said coaching courses offered former players a reintegration into the game.

‘’It’s an important start of the journey especially to us former footballers, it means that they will be back on the touchline and this means that the game will develop properly’’, Said Situma.

‘’It’s very important for former players to engage in coaching because it offers another avenue for them to continue their lives in football even after hanging their boots’’, added former Harambee Stars defender Jockins Atudo.

According to Football Kenya Federation a total of 4,000 coaches have undergone training.
