Football Kenya Federation Deputy President Doris Petra has on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, presided over the opening ceremony of a CAF C refresher course at the Kenya School of Special Education (KISE) in Kasarani.

The course, under the tutelage of FKF FIFA Instructors Leonard Saleh, Leonard Odipo, Salim Ali, has brought together coaches from the Kenya Premier League, National Super League, and Women Premier League with an aim of capacity building of the coaches.

During the opening ceremony on Tuesday, FKF Deputy President Doris Petra expounded on the need of conducting the refresher course for the CAF C coaches.

“The Federation has conducted this refresher course for CAF C coaches who had initially done the course in 2017 but were not certified due to Confederation African Football (CAF) changes in their certifying system. This course will enable them to be eligible to attend the CAF B courses that have been lined up,” said FKF Deputy President Doris Petra.

“I would like to urge more women to take up the coaching courses provided by the Federation so as to grow and empower their career in football,” she said.

The FKF Technical Department has in the meantime, lined up CAF B courses that will be held on September 2021.
