Canada-based Barrister and law scholar Miguna Miguna has, in his public opinion court, sentenced former Kenya Football Federation Chairman Sam Nyamweya to 350 years in jail for looting down KFF.
In a tweet shared widely on Friday, the controversial lawyer who is exiled in Canada called Nyamweya a thief who horned his skilled at YK’ 92, a political outfit used by the former ruling party, KANU, to counter multiparty wave.
“This is an image of Sam Nyamweya, a thief who learnt his trade from Cyrus Jirongo at the YK’92, a violent, barbaric and criminal outfit Daniel Arap Moi established to help him cling to power. Nyamweya looted the KFF to death. I hereby sentence this criminal to 350 years in jail.” Miguna posted on his Timeline.
Muguna added that;
“We don’t respect looters and despots. We respect values and virtues; human beings who have integrity, transformative vision; value truth; are honest; respect human rights; pursue justice; and adhere strictly to the constitution and rule of law. We fight against cartelism ROBUSTLY.”
The fearless lawyer was responding to Sunday’s statement to newsrooms that quoted Nyamweya saying that he continues to engage with regional leaders in the nine distinct regions of FKF who have faithfully supported his shared aspirations.
“I will be unveiling my team after consultation with our sub-branch officials who have been the engine of our success hitherto. I will continue consulting and engaging with the regional leaders in the nine distinct regions of FKF who have faithfully supported our shared aspirations and have been a source of strength and inspiration to my leadership,” he explained.
The former Football Kenya Federation boss Sam Nyamweya will vie in the forthcoming football election for the presidency post. Nyamweya has been in the cold for four years after he stepped down on the last day of the last elections won by the current federation boss Nick Mwendwa.
Among his proposals, if elected is to extend the contract to run the nation’s top tier league with KPL in what he termed as a move to stabilize the league and for continuity. In the communique, Nyamweya said he will unveil their development agenda and manifesto that will contain our shared aspirations for the next ten years.

Nyamweya’s first stab at football management came when he successfully contested for KFF’s secretary-general seat 24-years ago. He unsuccessfully vied for KFF chairmanship in 2000 but made amends by clinching the FKF presidency in 2011.
Former Kenya Football Federation (KFF) vice-chairman Twaha Mbarak, Gor Mahia secretary-general Lordvick Aduda, Nairobi businessman Steve Mburu, former Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga and former AFC Leopards chairman Alex Ole Magelo are the others aspirants who have declared their interest in the top-seat.
