Betting firm Betika is under sharp focus once again for all the reasons; not crediting a win to a gambler.
A twitter user Muhammed Manzi (@LevelUp_Barber) has accused Betika of changing the odds after he won two bets he had placed with the company.
“Am crying 4justice. I on Sunday (30th August 2020) won over KES100,000 and KES 1,000,000 with two different accounts ; 0712742718 and 0790949360 simultaneously and the betting company deleted the winnings and my betting history just minutes after the win e”, he wrote on Twitter tagging the Department of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Betika.
Betika responded telling him that the amounts he claims to have won are on a demo account;
“hi, we trust that you are well and keeping safe. kindly be aware that the figure on the screenshot is the amount that is in the demo account and not real cash won on actual gaming. The last bet placed and won was at 21:14. Kindly confirm from your bet history. ^SN,” Betika wrote.

Muhammed rejected the explanation above denying that he has ever placed a demo bet.
“nitumieni pesa yangu mimi si gathemba yoh ju ady cjai cheza demo na nilianza kubet might be before uchorwe uko betika washoo wakusakie salary. zangu nilipewa na Most High nanii. the more you delay the more am getting furious coz am currently so broke nafungiwa keja na cna mboka”, he said
Betika has been on the wrong side of the gamblers according to the numerous messages sent to the Editor of this site. Many of them complain about the same issue of changed placed bets.
Muhammed has decided to take the firm to court for engaging in conmanship.
