Today at 1 pm, Xpose Trophy Hunting, a Twitter page that updates about trophy hunting in Africa tweeted that two poachers have been caught ferrying Giraffe meat.

“2 men behind a cartel that has been killing endangered reticulated giraffes in Garissa county for sale in Nairobi & Mombasa have been arrested. Rising demand for giraffe meat by affluent city people has fuelled poaching making it lucrative business,” they wrote
They then added that they suspected these men to be the ones who slaughtered the white Giraffe.
“These men could even be responsible for the death of the white giraffes. Apparently part of the plan involved a lot of misdirection, blaming local farmers & communities. When it was all about the meat. Beef costs USD6 a kg, giraffe is selling for $15 a kg”.
