The Kenyan Government, via the Office of the Vice President, has issued a blanket ban on the importation of powdered milk, effective as of today, March 5, 2023, to all Kenyan people living within or outside of Kenya’s borders.
In an effort to “empower local producers,” the Kenyan government has barred all people from importing powdered milk from abroad.
Kenya’s government has mandated that effective immediately, only milk produced by Kenyan farmers shall be sold in the country.
Furthermore, the Kenyan government has declared that it has reorganized the whole dairy board as part of a series of changes to the extensive milk industry.
