Yesterday, the government of Kenya though the ministry of health announced that COVID-19, the virus that began in Wuhan China was now in Kenya.
“There has been a misguided notion that those with black skin cannot get coronavirus. I can confirm that she is an African and is 27 years old”, the cabinet secretary for health Mutahi Kagwe announced boldly on TV.
The CS further stated that the lady had traveled in from USA and has been on the country since March 5th 2020.
Kenyans now believe that that is a lie as this is the same government that let off crooks that stole over Ksh4 billion from the health ministry meant for women, children and Hiv/Aids patients a few years ago.
Many users on social media pointed out that Kenya announced its first case of the disease immediately after the World Bank had also promised monetary help to countries that had the disease.
“As COVID-19 reaches more than 60 countries, the World Bank Group is making available an initial package of up to $12 billion in immediate support to assist countries coping with the health and economic impacts of the global outbreak. This financing is designed to help member countries take effective action to respond to and, where possible, lessen the tragic impacts posed by the COVID-19 (coronavirus)”, the World Bank posted on its website on March 3rd 2020.
