A faulty school van was last night involved in a fatal accident that left one dead.
According to a source, the Bursar of Kokuru Secondary died on the spot after the van rammed into a stalled Sony Sugar tractor.
“Bursar kokuro secondary died last night in this accident around sony sugar in Awendo migori county.
The school van had only 1 light and was avoiding head on collision with a truck and hit a stationary tractor loaded with cane stalled on the road.”

On other related news, on January 6th, at least 26 pupils of MCK Kaaga Academy were left with minor injuries after their school bus overturned at Mwirine area of the Meru-Kaaga bypass.
Those who sustained injuries were rushed to the Meru Level 5 Hospital for treatment while others were taken to school for counseling.
