The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has said the Green Park Terminal, that is intended to be the new stage for Public Service Vehicles, is nearing completion and the process is now entering the transition phase of commissioning.

In a statement, NMS Director-General Mohamed Badi said NMS is in the process of implementing the various ‘de-congestion strategies’ of the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Master Plan.

He also added that it is set to conduct a test run on Friday, May 28.

“The test run will involve dropping and picking passengers between 4pm and 8pm. Thereafter, normal PSV pick-up and drop-off operations will continue from the Nairobi Railway Station frontage until further notice,” read the statement.

The test run will involve all PSV vehicles operating from Nairobi Railway Station Frontage.

The NMS carried out the similar test run last month to iron out any issues that may arise before the actual launch.

NMS is also constructing a terminus at Fig Tree in Ngara, Bunyala and Workshop Road, and Muthurwa.
