Gunmen Abduct Kalonzo Musyoka’s Bodyguard

Sergeant Joel Kieti Kilonzo has reported to the police that on Sunday, June 5th, he was attacked by armed thugs as he was heading home from work robbed off his firearms and cash and dumped.

The man who is former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka’s bodyguard wrote in his police report that the incident occurred after the police officer dropped off Kalonzo at his home in Karen and left for his home.

Mr. Kieti says after his shift was out, the driver dropped him off at the Karen Country Club where he had some drinks and proceeded to leave the club at around 8 pm.

Instead of ordering a cab, Mr. Kieti who was armed with a pistol decided to take public transport, this is when he was attacked by four men bearing arms, the bodyguard says he made out a pistol and an AK47 rifle.

The bodyguard was subdued before he could reach out for his firearm, he says the thugs hit him on the head and subdued tied his hands behind his back.

The men then abducted him using a Toyota Prado. Here they searched him and took his pistol which was loaded with 15 rounds of ammunition, his phone worth Sh10,000, and Sh4,000 in cash before dumping him at Shell Petrol Station near Hilton Gardens Hotel along Mombasa Road.

He immediately rushed to file for the loss of a firearm and robbery with violence report at Embakasi Police Station.

The matter has been referred to Karen Police Station for further action.
