Here’s The List Of All 17 Mps Who Have Tested Positive For COVID-19

As the coronavirus continues to ravage through the country, prominent MPs and rich politicians have not been spared.

On Monday Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka and his National Assembly counterpart Justin Muturi called off sittings this week as a precaution measure to avoid other members from contracting the deadly virus after 17 members of parliament tested and turned positive for the killer disease.

KenyanBulletin has obtained the alleged list of the 17 members;

  1. John Mbadi –Member of Parliament, Gwassi Constituency
  2. Caleb Kositany – Member of Parliament, Soy Constituency
  3. James Orengo –Member of Parliament, Ugenya Constituency
  4. Omar Mwinyi –Member of Parliament, Changamwe Constituency
  5. Junet Mohammed –Member of Parliament, Suna East Constituency
  6. Gladys Shollei – Uasin Gishu
  7. Irungu Kangata –Member of Senate, Murang’a County
  8. Mwinyihaji Mohammed – Member of Senate, Mombasa County
  9. Simba Arati –Member of Parliament, Dagoretti North Constituency
  10. Imran Okoth –Member of Parliament, Kibra Constituency
  11. Sylvanus Maritim –Member of Parliament, Ainamoi Constituency
  12. Godfrey Otsotsi – AMC Nominated MP
  13. Caleb Amisi –Member of Parliament, Saboti Constituency
  14. Issa Juma Boy –Member of Senate. Kwale County
  15. Khatib Mwashetani –Member of Parliament, Lunga Lunga Constituency
  16. Benjamin Tayari –Member of Parliament, Kinango Constituency
  17. Kassim Tandaza –Member of Parliament, Matuga Constituency

Issa Juma Boy, Khatib Mwashetani, Benjamin Tayari, and Kassim Tandaza are said to have contracted the disease at the burial of Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori on March 9.

Most of these Legislators have refuted the claims, Speaker Justin Muturi and majority leader Aden Duale have also denied reports that they are hiding infected lawmakers even as multiple sources at parliament buildings told journalists the opposite.
