Imran Okoth, ODM’s candidate for the November 7th Kibra by-election has disowned a Twitter account that is accusing his rival and Jubilee candidate, MacDonald Mariga, of misdeeds including stealing his manifesto.
Imran through a tweet said that he is in the process of having his account verified and urged his supporters to stop following @Imran_Okoth, an account he stated that is fake.
Imran who is seeking to replace his late brother Ken Okoth reiterated his commitment to ODM Chief Raila Odinga and urged voters to turn out in big numbers to vote enable him secure a win.
He is among 24 candidates who will face out for the Kibra seat next Thursday. His party ODM has accused the IEBC of providing an incomplete register of voters in Kibra, alleging that the ID numbers were not availed to them.
IEBC dismissed the allegations saying that truncated ID numbers were provided for privacy and security reasons.
