Deputy President William Ruto threw a party to celebrate his birthday and wedding anniversary at his Sugoi home in Uasin Gishu County on Monday, December 21.
Ruto’s ally and Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi posted a video of the celebration.
He stated that the DP and Second Lady Rachel Ruto had hosted kids from children homes.
In the video, the children aided the DP, who is turning 54 years old, in dancing Harmonize’s song Happy Birthday, with the DP trying to mimic the moves.
Ruto and his wife would later cut a cake, feed each other before sharing with the children.
Captioning the video, Itumbi stated;
“Giving is not a matter of means, it’s about compassion. We may not have everything we want or need, but we can always find something to give if we first find it in us to feel love and empathy for our brothers and sisters.”
Mma Rachel Ruto has since penned a special message to her husband, expressing her gratitude for the life they have shared together.
“It fills me with great joy to celebrate another year of life with you. Today, we celebrate your birthday and our wedding anniversary. You are passionate, loving, kind and have been a great father to our children.
“Doing life with you has been the greatest adventure of my life & I’m eternally grateful to have you in my life. Happy birthday, Bill,” she stated.
She concluded her message with a Bible verse from the book of Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 which states; Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help.
The couple got married in 1991 and together have five children.
