Inside the mysterious death of Kenyan-Belgian woman Dysseleer Mireille Lesoipa

The main suspect in the mysterious disappearance and suspected murder of Kenyan-Belgian woman Dysseleer Mireille Lesoipa,  is expected to be arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts on Thursday.

Lucy Waithera Njuguna, who is said to have been a close friend to Mireille prior to her disappearance early this year, is suspected to have plotted her murder, faked a death certificate and initiated a property inheritance process.

Homicide detectives are now probing a theory that she forged a death certificate indicating that her friend, suffered from HIV/AIDS, died at the MP Shah Hospital and her body cremated at the Kariokor crematorium.

The sleuths have since established that the claim that Mireille died in hospital were false after the Medical Director at the MP Shah confirmed that she was neither ever admitted at the facility nor died there.

After being confronted with the facts, Waithera is reported to have changed tune saying Mireille died in India where she had traveled to seek treatment.

The Immigration Department has since proved that the missing person did not travel as claimed by Waithera.

The suspect is also said to have used the fake death certificate to file a succession case where she had placed herself as a key beneficiary of Mireille’s estate.

The succession case is still ongoing at the Nakuru High Court even as Waithera has already sold Mireille’s house valued at Sh20 million to one Pastor Anthony Musembi.

Waithera was arrested on February 1 while in possession of Mireille’s phone, ATM cards and passport.

The Kenyan-Belgian woman who went missing early last year is yet to be found; detectives however believe she was murdered but her body is yet to be recovered.

The deceased moved to Nakuru after separating from her husband in October 2018 where she met and befriended Waithera.

Waithera is expected to face murder charges before the High Court in Milimani on Thursday
