Itumbi Wishes Sakaja Success

Deputy President William Ruto’s Digital Strategist Dennis Itumbi has left his followers guessing following a controversial midnight post.

In the tweet published on Wednesday, 2nd February, 12:06 am, the Head of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Propaganda Wing sarcastically wished Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja success in his plans to move to a higher leadership level.

According to the blogger, he prays that Sakaja achieves his goal of being City Hall’s next boss under Musalia Mudavadi’s Amani National Congress (ANC) party.

While wishing him good competition, Itumbi added that if his gubernatorial ambition comes true, the young Luhya politician will have hit a new milestone in his life.

“Ndugu Sakaja Johnson, you are a good man. May your ambition and prayer to serve, be met with good competition and success,” he wrote, adding; “May it, as we always thought, ‘be the beginning of the rest of your life.”

Itumbi’s remarks come just hours after the rivalry between two Sakaja and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru, played out in the open after they clashed at a political rally in Nairobi.

Sakaja and Wanjiru, both members of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, took on each other head-on at a campaign rally held at City Park in Parklands.

The two differed in the presence of ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula and a host of UDA allied legislators.

During the altercation, Bishop Wanjiru accused Sakaja of inciting the youthful crowd against her.

But in a quick rejoinde, the Jubilee Party defectee dismissed Wanjiru’s claims and urged the jeering crowd to give everybody an opportunity to sell their candidature.
