Kenyans Cuss the Government’s Spokesman

Retired Col Syrus Oguna was at the receiving end of angry Kenyans while addressing the never-ending taxes.

According to Oguna, “Kenyans must stop being cry babies and stop complaining about taxes and support the government.”

Here is the video courtesy of Meru TV.

Do you think Col Oguna was making any sense while stating that the government does not do business?

Here is what Kenyans on the interwebs said about the State’s presser.

Dickson Musinya:
Lame ass comparison 🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♂️ they pay high taxes which they can account for. This is a government syndrome. Everybody in it sings to its tune MFS .

Master Wetu:
We voted for the new constitution without asking about COST OF IMPLEMENTATION, we are voting for BBI without asking for COST OF IMPLEMENTATION. Mambo bado, it will get worse considering the big 4 agenda plus corruption plus overhead costs plus bloated government plus hefty loan repayments…

Telex:
In Europe & America people are either employed or getting some form of income. Stop overtaxing kenyans & disband the so called ‘tax returns’

Alex Mutunga:
I would actually have no problem with however the government taxed me, my only problem is it is taxing me heavily and delivering zero. Much of my tax is going to the pockets of a few via corruption and that makes the difference between us and the European countries Oguna is talking about.

Boss Philip:
He should go to retire he has never struggled in live when he was kdf Officer at at 76 Abr Gilgil the even used to use junior kdf to dig his farm so he does not understand anything of our struggle idiot

Mash:
PAYE,VAT,Income Tax ,Digital Tax, Dividends Tax ..Fuel Tax , Government services Tax etc etc … Quadruple plus more . Then all taken out through corruption by few. It’s a Matter of time punda atachoka

Amos:
Nonsense, he forgot to mention of about accountability. Comparing Kenya with European countries like how, Oguna hiyo sio Kazi Yako bana. Unalipa polisi kwa tax na umlipe barabarani bado😕

TONY:
I was done listening to this guy since the likoni car tragedy. Now he wants to mean Uganda and Tanzania have no policemen and Civil servants to pay? Again how is the government supporting us to raise those high taxes? Anyway he can’t understand since he is paid more than half a million without allowances.

Moses Ojienda:
No country develops through over taxations be creative and encourage manufacturing and export look for experts not spokesmen developed countries don’t have this spokesmen nonsense

Bombnator:
Support individuals in government to have something to steal not the government

Invizzible Vanished:
Europe have job opportunities that’s y they don’t feel bad paying taxes. Europe governments has low corruption leaders. Europe countries are way far developed. How can he compare Kenya with European countries. The Same government which is eating covid money. Same government which has high corruption cases unsolved. Same government entertaining Corruption. This guy is not making sense.

Türkenkrieg:
No government wants their citizens to be well informed, for when the citizens are well informed & start thinking for themselves, governments will have nothing to do, hence the very concept of government will disappear from the face of earth. The very existence of government or state is predicated upon the stupidity of the citizens – the more stupid the masses, the more powerful the government…

Daisy Kariuki:
Such an idiot. Does he have an idea how much Kenyans are suffering? Ati if we would compare what we are paying to what the citizens of the UK Pay in terms of taxes, its absolutely nothing. Amenibore! People who don’t give a shit about Kenyans. People, I assure you that we are alone in this.

Telex:
Kenya needs an urgent ‘tax reform’ & save the common mwanainchi.
-scrap most of the tax codes that is working against the common hardworking man.
-what is the need of ‘tax returns’ when you already pay taxes upfront?

Joseph:
I’ve paid hundred of thousands in taxes. I’ve not received services worth that much.

My wealth is in Crypto. I’m not paying anymore taxes. Karī kīī

Dr. Awesome:
“Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results”……. I can bet that most of ya’ll complaining right niwwill be voting in the same theives come August next year. Then you’ll complain again asking where we went wrong. Anyway I believe we get the leaders we deserve

Stepehn Onyango:
Yaani they don’t even want to empathize with what we are going through. This is painful to watch and know how a government feels towards its people. Other countries are giving it’s citizens money coz of corona situation but ours is taking from its own citizens. Sad indeed!
