Kenyatta National Hospital has been cussed by Kenyan and other medical fraternities after a child’s life was lost in what is termed as medical negligence.
Yesterday, KNH had issued a statement that hours later was made public that the Kenyatta hospital was doing PR with a childs life.
Our attention has been drawn to the story circulating online regarding a child admitted at KNH with a fork lodged in his skull. We wish to assure members of the public as follows:
The patient had lost a lot of blood and as a result, the clotting process was not occurring as expected, thereby, delaying the surgical procedure as this would have been dangerous to the patient.
The patient has since been stabilized and is currently undergoing a delicate operation in KNH theatres. We thank you for your concern and we assure you that the child is under the best care by our teams.
Here are the reactions of the matter in the KOT and what their say was
Kenyatta National Hospital ๐ฅ the kid has succumbed to what again? Negligence or what? Show every case reach the social media arena for you to work with speed on patients? The management and the @KNH_hospital board should be disbanded immediately. Heartbreaking! https://t.co/muWLgH4P0t
