As over 370 Kenyans test positive for novel Coronavirus Covid-19, many leaders have shown that they are still above the law as concerned to following rules of the land.
Now, Kilifi Chief officer for Public Works Charo Kazungu a few days ago organized a party in the bush away from the prying eyes of authorities.
The people who attended the party were captured without face masks, not social distancing and obvisouly inebriated.
The govt has banned congregations in public and private places, issued a directive that every person should wear a face mask in public and practice social distancing of about 2 metres in public places.
Charo and friends are among the few govt employees who feel they are above the law, the other being Jubilee opposition politicians who feel that 2022 can’t wait and have to congregate to plan for polls and to protest political seats.
Such behaviors have made it hard to convince ordinary Kenyans that Covid-19 indeed exists and can infect anybody.
Since the start of the Covid-19 infections in Kenya in March, there have been 14 deaths, over 120 recoveries from the 374 cases reported.
Kilifi County is among the leading with 9 cases.
