‘Wajinga Nyinyi’ singer King Kaka summoned by DCI

Musician Kenedy Ombima alias King Kaka was summoned by the Director of Criminal Investigation on Tuesday morning.

Taking to his twitter account, the Artiste notified his fans that he had been summoned over his controversial song titled Wajinga nyinyi.

His manager also confirmed to the Star newspaper that the rapper had been summoned at the DCI headquarters in Kiambu.

King Kaka has been the talk of town since the release of his song that highlights the plight of Kenyan voters.

On Monday evening Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru vowed to sue him over defamatory statements he made against her in his lyrics.

A number of lawyers have come to the support of the artist pledging their support in case of any lawsuit.

“I said and I repeat..I will give legal representation to @RabbitTheKing against ANYONE who sues him for the lyric #Wajinganyiyi .I’m of the considered view that no one amongst the ruling elites or the masses was defamed. UGLY, CRASS and LEWD commentaries on soceity are PRIVILEGED,” tweeted Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi.

“Due to public demand, I confirm my availability and willingness to act for him, as #WaiguruSuesKingKaka. Let the Governor know that the ill conceived suit will be defended strenuously at her expense and costs. It is obvious how this will end. Once more, #IstandWithKingKaka,” tweeted Lawyer Nelson Havi.

After his tweet, a number of Kenyans have also stated that they will offer their support in order to protect him at all costs.

Activist Boniface Mwangi stated, “I have spoken to @RabbitTheKingand he informs me that @DCI_Kenya have summoned him. His friends, fellow artistes and Kenyans of goodwill are joining him at DCI Headquarters, Kiambu Road, at 12pm. If you’re able to join us, see you there.
