Majority Leader of Senate Kipchumba Murkomen launched a ruthless attack on Embakasi East MP Babu Owino.
Murkomen’s move resulted from the heckling he received during the launch of the BBI report by President Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Through a tweet, the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator remarked that he was disappointed by the behaviour of the CAS of the Ministry of Public, Youth and Gender Affairs Rachel Shebesh.
The vocal leader pointed out that Shebesh broke the code that existed between friends.
The Jubilee party member asserted that he would tolerate such a show from opposing women leaders allied to Raila.
In a comical manner, he noted that the female wing that would be likely to act in such a way would be the likes of Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, Babu and Likoni MP Mishi Mboko.
“Hon.Shebesh, Hon.Roza Buyu&I are alumni of the first class of Political Leadership Development Program 2003-05 together with Hon.A.Wahome&Hon.Mariro. By heckling their classmate they broke the unwritten rule governing comrades. I don’t mine the other women-led by Wanga, Babu&Mishi!” read the tweet.
The scathing attack comes after the Embakasi East representative was among the people booing Murkomen when delivering his speech.
Babu stood up from his seat and was seen indicating that the Senator should be barred from sharing his views.
The MP, when asked to stop the behaviour, added more vigour to ensure Murkomen was embarrassed.
The drama that ensued during the launch, painted the picture that leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto were in trouble.
Aside from the disgruntled Murkomen, Ruto was left angry after Uhuru openly laughed after ODM MP Junet Mohamed blasted the Jubilee party.
Junet when he invited Murkomen, warned him of talking about the wrangles within the ruling party.
Echoing the Elgeyo Marakwet’s politician sentiments, Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko noted that it was unfair that he was left out of the program.
Sonko asserted that since the event was held in his city, he had the right to welcome outsiders for the historic event.
The showings provided clarity that it was not a good day to be a TangaTanga member.
