One eSIM, 145+ countries - Kwetu is simplifying mobile connectivity for travelers crossing multiple borders.

Kwetu eSIM has launched a new Global eSIM plan covering more than 145 countries, including mainland China, giving travelers access to mobile data across multiple destinations through a single eSIM.

The plan is designed for people taking multi-country trips who would otherwise have to purchase, install and manage separate eSIMs for every destination.

One eSIM, multiple countries

The Kwetu Global eSIM is installed once before departure using a QR code and can then work automatically when travelers arrive in any of the covered countries.

Its coverage spans major destinations across Europe, Asia, the Americas and other regions around the world. The inclusion of mainland China also gives the plan an advantage for travelers heading to a market that is not included in some competing global eSIM packages or may require a separate plan.

Instead of changing SIMs every time an itinerary changes, travelers can keep using the same eSIM as they move between covered destinations.

Why travelers may prefer it over buying separate eSIMs

For someone visiting four countries, buying individual plans could mean purchasing and installing four different eSIMs. Kwetu's Global eSIM is designed to replace that process with one purchase, one installation and one QR code.

Travelers also don't have to search for local SIM vendors after landing, register a new number or wait for a physical SIM to become active. Once properly installed and configured, the eSIM is intended to provide data connectivity when the traveler arrives at a covered destination.

There is also no need to manually switch between different eSIM profiles when crossing borders within the plan's coverage.

The traveler's existing phone number can remain active on their physical SIM while Kwetu handles mobile data through the eSIM, allowing users to continue receiving calls and texts on their usual number.

Set it up before leaving home

Kwetu says installation takes less than a minute using a QR code and recommends testing the eSIM before departure.

That gives travelers an opportunity to confirm that the setup is working before boarding a flight, rather than discovering a connectivity problem after arriving in another country.

The plan also offers flexibility for changing travel plans. If a trip runs longer than expected or additional data is needed, travelers can top up or purchase another plan through the Kwetu app.

Who is the Global eSIM for?

The plan is primarily aimed at travelers visiting multiple countries within its coverage area.

That includes business travelers moving between different markets, tourists taking multi-country holidays and anyone tired of buying and switching SIMs every time they cross an international border.

For travelers visiting only one country, however, a destination-specific eSIM could still be more cost-effective. Kwetu continues to offer individual country and regional bundles for those trips.

Kwetu Global eSIM is now available

The Global eSIM is available through the Kwetu eSIM app and Kwetu's global eSIM offering at kwetuesim.com/global-esim.

With coverage spanning more than 145 countries, Kwetu is positioning the plan as a simpler alternative for travelers who want to stay connected across multiple destinations without carrying a collection of different SIMs and eSIM profiles.
