A heated exchange between an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) diehard and a city lawyer who is known for his selfless defence of UDA Party leader William Ruto is today’s talking point on social media.

In the latest episode of an unfolding grand contest between the country’s main opposing political sides, the vocal Raila Odinga supporter accused renowned Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi of directly confronting him for questioning one of his opinions.

“Tangatanga Sympathizer SC Ahmednasir ran to my DM to tell me about me being abusive after I questioned who supports his Qassim narrative against the Alibaba meant for DP Ruto,” the guy named Frank Mtetezi posted.

He also attached copies of screenshots captured from their conversation.

Through a Direct Message (DM) message delivered to Frank at 10:33 pm on Sunday, 12th December 2021, the affluent advocate warned him against being “abusive” in their engagements.

“Engage in debates and discussions with people you don’t know with civility and humility,” he wrote.

But in response, the loyal Raila footsoldier accused Ahmednasir of hypocrisy in advocating for civility yet he himself is known to enjoy demeaning political opponents on behalf of Ruto.

“What’s abusive on your side?” he asked, adding, “You are just somebody who demeans people just to please your Sugoi master DP Ruto.”

This reply seemed to have annoyed the former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) President who in response, told off Frank Mtetezi as an idiot not worthy of his precious time.

Reacting to the incident, ODM Director of Communications Philip Etale lauded the resilient tweep for staying true to his name and being frank with the lawyer.

He further urged him not to entertain such intimidation going forward.

“You did well to tell him the truth. Don’t be intimidated by anyone,” he wrote.
