Malala now staging supremacy wars with ODM in Matungu

Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala who fell out with the ODM leader Raila Odinga in August is using the Matungu campaigns to challenge Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya whose support in Matungu is completely down.

ANC Party which is also scheming to snatch the Kakamega governor seat from ODM in 2022 is staging a serious onslaught in Matungu where their Malala is more popular than Oparanya of ODM.

Malala who was elected in Mudavadi’s ANC ticket was kicked out of ODM circles in a coup that was staged during a bitter battle between Oparanya and Governor Hassan Joho of Mombasa.

Malala was in ODM to take Oparanya’s spot incase the governor bolted to join Ruto’s camp where his heart is. The Kakamega senator even got closer to Odinga before he was exposed through cony deals that saw Oparanya orchestrate his

The flashy Mombasa governor who has proper grips of his Mombasa County bankrolled Malala to fight Oparanya who is set to retire in 2022 and run for Butere seat.

The governor should leave the seat with the party in 2022 but keeping him in constant battles with Malala would deter him from concentrating on 2022 power sharing talks at Mzee Francis Atwoli’s home in Kajiado.

Both Joho and Oparanya are ODM Party deputy leaders competing for Raila’s support to advance to national politics in 2022. Oparanya is eying a DPM position or serious cabinet position in 2022 but top confused ODM man can betray Odinga and join Ruto.

He was exposed by former Sport’s CS Rashid Echesa who is always mobilising youths to heckle him into admission that he is a Ruto man.

The crafty Echesa recently used the burial of the late Matungu MP Justus Murunga to shocked ODM leader Raila Odinga when he publicly asked him to let Oparanya hammer a deal with Ruto in the run up to 2022.

Oparanya’s full commitment to ODM Party has always been in doubt after a section of ODM Mps accused him of working in favour of Jubilee to destroy the orange party.

He showed no interest in the party in 2017 when he was always in the company Jubilee aspirants who competed with ODM candidates.

ODM won 32 MCA seats and only two parliamentary seats in the backyard of their deputy party leader. He is either paid not to interfere with Ruto’s point men in Kakamega or he could be in a deal with the DP.

Oparanya frustrated many stronger ODM candidates like former Butere MP Andrew Toboso, Anami Lisamula of Shinyalu, Benjamin Andola and Rachael Ameso from Khwisero during the 2017 polls and gave Jubilee aspirants easy wins.
