A man was on Tuesday arraigned in court and charged with stealing items, among them lingerie and underwear, worth Ksh.200,000.
The court heard that Caleb Onyango Otieno stole the items belonging to Lilian Mwangi at Sasa Mall along Moi Avenue in Nairobi on March 26, 2021.
The items, according to court papers, include 48 pieces of lingerie, 36 pieces of underwear, 36 pieces of pyjamas, 22 pieces of cotton robes, and 6 pieces of silk robes.
Otieno, appearing before the Milimani Law Courts, pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted a cash bail of Ksh.50, 000 or a bond of Ksh.100, 000.
The case was set for mention on June 4, 2021.
