Tears of joy today filled the air today as Julius Wambua the man who was allegedly framed for rape was finally set free from the Kamiti Maximum prison.
Wambua was met by his daughter Dorcas Mwende who embraced him amid tears.
On Wednesday the court set Wambua free on a cash bail of Sh30,000.
Justice Odunga also quashed the previous ruling asking that the cases begin afresh.
Dorcas claimed that she was coached by her mother to accuse the father of raping her.
According to her, the father was serving a prison term wrongfully out of a coalition of convenience formed between herself and her mother.
