An uncouth man has this morning survived a mob lynch after he unsuccessfully tried kill a school girl in a tea plantation after raping her in Kiambu.
Police rescued the beastly man from an irate crowd that descended on him after the girl frantically raised distress call attracting curiosity of tea pickers who swiftly responded.
Eyewitnesses said the man, a private motorist had offered a lift to two school girls and raped one of them after the other had alighted.
According to an eyewitness, the man had given a lift to two students who were heading to school from Ngecha.
“One of the students alighted at St Paul and the other one proceeded with the evil driver as she was heading to Manguo secondary,” said the eye witness.
After committing the heinous act, it is said he planned to murder the girl elsewhere.
The suspect, now in police custody at Tigoni Police Station is said to have drove to the bushes where he raped the girl and thereafter told the girl that he is going to kill her.
The girl has been rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency medical attention.
Along the way, the girl spotted tea pickers in a nearby tea plantation.
“As he took Limuru-Kiambu Road route, the girl started screaming for help at Eden tea plantations after she saw people picking tea. To stop the car, the girl held the steering wheel where the vehicle headed to the ditch. The tea pickers from Eden tea and Kiawaroga started screaming and the evil man fell in the hands of angry before the police arrived,” explained the eyewitness.
Police recovered an assortment of items including suspected injection materials from the car which are being preserved for further analysis.
