Man’s Manhood ripped off

After a buffalo attacked and pulled off his manhood, a guy from the Halugho region of Ijara Sub-County is demanding justice.

On Wednesday morning, while herding his goats, the 54-year-old man was assaulted by the beast. When he came into touch with him, the wild animal charged and attacked him, tearing off his genitalia. Following the event, the victim is now suing Kenya Wildlife Service for compensation for the buffalo’s injuries.

While he is being treated at the Garissa County Referral Hospital, KWS’s human-wildlife conflict affairs officer, Grace Nzale, has stated that the matter would be investigated and dealt with accordingly.

Two days before, a 26-year-old guy from the same region was also assaulted by two hippos. The victim was reportedly attacked by the hippos on Monday at a community water point where he had taken his cattle.

Mahat Miskok Adat was attacked by the hippos at around 10:00 am in the morning at the water point where he had taken his cattle to drink water,” area chief Farha Ethow Siyat said.

The animals reportedly bit Adat on the back before they dragged him on the ground with their teeth latched in his body. His relatives have also filed a complaint with the KWS seeking compensation for the damages.

In October last year, a 51-year-old man from Kamahuha Village in Maragua, Murang’a County was shocked after he woke up and found his penis had been severed from his body.

“Throughout the journey, he [Gerald] kept on telling me that he would circumcise me for a second time. I woke up at daybreak on Thursday and went to the toilet for a short call only to find my penis had been cut off.”

The victim called his friends on phone, who arrived and took him to Murang’a Level 5 Hospital with the help of Kamahuha MCA.
